Brac University’s Finact club arranges Femfest 2022

Finance and Accounting Club of Brac University-Finact has arranged "Femfest 2022", highlighting women empowerment in Bangladesh. 

The event was held in the university auditorium from 8am to 5pm on Sunday, August 14, 2022. The Dean of Brac Business School Dr Sang H Lee inaugurated the event along with other faculties of the university.

More than 15 businesses of women entrepreneurs participated in the event. They promoted and sold handcrafted items, boutiques, clothing, and beauty products at their stalls.

The owner of "The Backyard Bakery" said that it was an incredible arrangement from the club to highlight an essential bridge between women entrepreneurs and university students.

Besides, students of Brac University visited the event and purchased items from the stalls.

Tanveer, a student, said that he was very delighted to greet the women entrepreneurs and discuss the challenges they faced during the early stage of their businesses. 

The Finact club believes that women empowerment is critical to achieving gender equality, where men and women have equal power and opportunities for education, healthcare, economic participation, and personal development. 

This event was dedicated to encouraging and celebrating the women entrepreneurs of the country, the release added.
