Int’l Inner Wheel’s South Asia Rally held in Dhaka
The two-day fifth South Asia Rally with the slogan "Pride and Performance" by International Inner Wheel, one of the largest women's voluntary service organisations, was held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on August 26-28.
The rally, hosted by Inner Wheel Districts 345 and 328, was held for the first time in Bangladesh. Over 700 Inner Wheel members from India, Nepal, Malaysia, the Philippines, and host Bangladesh participated in the event, said a press release.
International Inner Wheel President Zenaida Yangco Farcon and Dilruba Ahmed, convener, 5th South Asia Rally, spoke at a press meet at the beginning.
Mollika Biswas, a Bangladeshi Inner Wheel District chairman; and Shamsunnahar Haque, another district chairman of Inner Wheel of Bangladesh, spoke on occasion.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan attended the main session of the rally as the chief guest on August 27.
