2 more die from Covid

Bangladesh reported two more Covid-linked deaths and 216 cases in 24 hours till yesterday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With this, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,325 while the caseload to 2,012,162, it added. 

The daily case test positivity rate rose to 5.46 percent from Wednesday's 4.20 percent as 3,955 samples were tested. 

The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.46 percent. The recovery rate remained static at 97.24 percent as 232 patients recovered during this period.
